Interior Walkthroughs Include:

  • Heat/AC/thermostat: visual check that the system appears to be operating properly.

  • Wi-Fi modem: confirm it's working and reboot if necessary.

  • Water Heater: confirm hot water is available at faucets.

  • Walls/Ceilings: visual inspection for water damage, staining, or discoloration in all rooms.

  • Run faucets, showers, and toilets to make sure they work properly.

  • Note any unusual or strong odors in the home, including gas, and report immediately.

  • Refrigerator/freezer: is the icemaker on or off? Empty/off in pre-departure inspection.

  • Breaker Box: visually check for and report any tripped breakers.

  • Kitchen: any perishable food left unattended or incorrectly stored?

  • Garbage disposal: run garbage disposal to prevent failure.

  • Check if the garage door opens.

  • Photos and notes delivered to customer

Exterior Walkthroughs Include:

  • Pick up mail and place it inside the house.

  • Return garbage and/or recycling bins to house if needed.

  • Check doors/fences/gates for signs of damage, forced entry, or vandalism.

  • Entryway/Driveway: move newspapers, magazines, and small to medium-sized packages inside the house.

  • Windows: visual inspection: break-ins, vandalism, weather damage, closed and secured.

  • Garage: is the car still parked and secured, is there any visual damage?

  • Front/Back Yards: free of fallen trees, visual inspection of roof snow/weather damage.

  • Check that exterior lighting is functioning properly.

  • Photos and notes delivered to customer.

  • We document the visible concern, contact you according to the communication plan in your agreement, and follow your authorized instructions. Emergency response, vendor access, and coordination may be available for an additional charge.

  • Yes. You will receive a written summary and photos following each completed visit.

  • Our specialty is providing consistent, documented visual checks of your home and promptly alerting you to anything that appears unusual. If we identify a concern, we provide photos and clear information so you can decide what action to take. With your authorization, we can also provide access for or coordinate with an appropriately qualified service professional.

    We do not perform repairs, technical evaluations, formal home inspections, security services, or property management. This allows us to remain focused on dependable home-watch visits while ensuring specialized work is handled by the right professional. Although home watch cannot guarantee against damage or loss, regular visits provide valuable oversight and can bring visible concerns to your attention sooner.
